What To Expect

We Love Our Visitors!

At Memorial Lutheran Church we have three services each Sunday.

  • Traditional (Lutheran Liturgy): 8:00 a.m.
  • Family Service (designed for families with young children): 9:30 a.m.
  • Modern Blend (less formal music): 10:30 a.m.

Regardless of which service you choose to attend, upon entering the sanctuary you will be greeted by an usher, given a bulletin, and have any questions you may have answered. Prior to the prelude you will find our members chatting to catch up from the week, don't be surprised if a member introduces themselves to welcome you to the church (you may even receive one of our welcome gifts from our eager Welcome Ministry Team). Just before the prelude begins we will do any weekly announcements for upcoming events.

The prelude signals the beginning of a time for praise and giving thanks to our loving Lord and the start of our services. You can follow along with the service using the bulletin given to you when you entered the sanctuary. At Memorial Lutheran Church, all baptized Christians are welcome to join us for Communion.

Every Sunday, after each service, you are invited to Fellowship Hall where you can mingle with members, meet the Pastor, and enjoy coffee, juice, and light snacks. After the 9:30 Sunday Chapel, families are invited to to stay and create the take-home craft with a member of our Youth Group while enjoying a snack.

While the worship experience can vary to some degree from week to week, you can always expect...

  • An encounter with God

"Worship" comes from the word "worth." We gather to tell God how much He is worth and so find our own worth! Our purpose is to share God’s love, word and grace with all people. Our desire is for you to have truly encountered God’s love and grace while with us and have a better understanding of His word because of being here with us.

  • Worship and You

We as Lutherans believe that there are three things necessary for worship: The Word clearly preached, the sacraments (Baptism and Holy Communion) lovingly administered, and you. God may well be calling you to be among us and make our worship and fellowship complete!

  • A warm, friendly environment where you will be welcomed

People who worship with us often tell us how welcomed they felt while being with us. They love our fellowship after the services and the ability to get to meet so many people and the Pastor. We do not want to simply be friendly; we want to be your friend!

  • A concern for the heart

Psalm 51:10 says, “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” Our desire is for each of us to seek God. By gathering, hearing the Word of God preached and through Bible Study we strive to renew God’s Spirit within us.

  • A building of Faith

We believe there is power in God’s Word! Romans 10:17 says “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ”. We desire to build your faith each week by hearing the Word preached and taught.
