GOD’S WORK, OUR HANDS SUNDAY
SEPTEMBER 20, 2020
AND OUR OUTREACH TO THE COMMUNITY!

Our members generously gave to three local agencies on Sundays leading up to
the blessing of items on Sept. 20th .

The congregation responded to our ongoing
relationship with Port In The Storm (for homeless youth), Brookdale Assisted
Living, and Hartley Elementary School. Shown in all three pictures is the chair of
our Social Ministry Committee, Judy Caputo, as she presents our donations on site
to each of the three agencies.

At each location, we were offered the gratitude of the representatives who
greeted us and received donations. Dr. Paul Goricki, the principal of Hartley
Elementary, is seen greeting Judy in the school lobby. He explained that because
of parent employment issues related to the pandemic, many of the parents they
work with cannot afford basic supplies for their children. He expressed his deep
appreciation that we were able to respond to their needs.
Thus the supplies we collected for Hartley as well as Port In The Storm and
Brookdale represented Christ’s love for our community on many levels.
