Blessing of the Animals – Update!

Memorial’s 2020 Pet Blessing
Saturday, October 17 was a perfect, sunny morning for our
congregation’s annual Blessing of the Animals.
Our thanks to Yvonne Schimmel for helping us to recall our pets who
have crossed the “Rainbow Bridge” and to St. Francis, whose ministry
to all creation once again inspired this event.
Six dogs received a personal blessing from Pastor Dow, who received in
turn six loving glances and sometimes a lick on the hand from our
congregation’s loving pets.
We experienced anew our bond with God’s creation in its glory and with the Creator of all living things. Thanks be to God!
